If you are on this website, you probably already know what a boat transom is. Just in case you don’t though, it’s a nautical term for the flat or slightly slanted surface that forms the stern of a boat. Most of my customers send me a photo or photos of the stern of their boat (preferably out of the water) and I develop a Work Order that summarizes all of the pertinent details, and pricing, that would go into having me make a wall hanging replica. Others don’t own a boat but want one of these with maybe their last name on it; their business name/logo on it; lettering to commemorate a wedding or such, etc. I have lots of boat transom photos and have made enough of these that it’s usually quite easy to dream up some transom art that satisfies these customers. These make a great showpiece for dens, cabins, boat houses, man caves, offices or businesses. Anywhere that has nautical-themed décor.
Pricing starts at $340 for a 24"wide x 12"high deck-only version, continuing to around $600 for a 3D version sized 32"wide x 18"high x 2"deep and all the way to $2,800 + travel expenses for me to make and deliver one that is as large as I can fit in my mini-van (~84"wide x 46"high x 8"deep).
