NAME (required):

Well I could have sat around and sulked, but that wouldn't have helped my situation. Here I am, 58 years old, and forced into early retirement after 21 years as the #2 guy at a 12 community solid waste management agency. So, with lots of time on my hands, I decided to take up a hobby that I always had a passion for: Wood Working. Growing up, my family owned a 19' Chris-Craft Utility. I have countless memories of that boat: Cruising the waters of Lake St. Clair, working on the boat with my dad, and just admiring how the varnished mahogany glistened in the sun. Inspired by those memories, the first transom I replicated was of our boat "Barbee", which was named after my mom (Barbara). From there, this little hobby rapidly evolved, getting attention primarily from other vintage wooden boat lovers. I thoroughly enjoy making these custom boat transom replicas and thrive to produce hand-crafted art that exceeds the expectations of my customers. Respecting the significant financial investment in these pieces, I also go to great lengths to communicate diligently with each customer during the process. In the end, I’ve usually developed a new friendship as well as a new wall hanging. Nothing brings me greater joy than receiving a compliment on my work, and I'd like to think that I'm building a unique product that each customer will cherish for a long time.
